Ingvild has a masters degree in archaeology from NTNU. During her studies, she spent a year in Poland studying medicine and forensic archaeology.

She has been working with rock art in Alta for a few years, and as a field archaeologist at NTNU Vitenskapsmuseet. At NTNU she has mainly worked on iron age and stone age excavations. She also has experience with excavations of cairns in Stavanger, and exhumations in Poland.

Her interests are many, but she is especially interested in human remains and graves, and the stone age.
