Thomas Kjær is an archaeologist and serves as the Acting Office Manager for NIKUs office in Tønsberg. He studied archaeology at Södertörn and Stockholm University, as well as at the University of Oslo.
With experience from projects concerned with digital documentation of cultural heritage sites and public outreach, Thomas came to NIKU in 2024 as a field archaeologist in the Prestegaten, nedre-overannsprosjektet in Tønsberg.
Thomas is particularly concerned with how new digital tools and methods can contribute to archaeological fieldwork, research and public outreach.
