Elise Skeide Vibe

Elise Skeide Vibe holds a degree in architecture from NTNU and joined NIKU in 2025.

During her studies, she focused on building conservation, documentation, circularity and reuse, as well as the adaptation of new architecture in a historical setting through color, volume, and detailing. In her master’s thesis, she worked with an abandoned post-war municipality building, exploring new uses, contextual adaptation and relevance for the community through three different levels of transformation.

She has practical experience from Bakken & Magnussen Restaureringsverkstad, where she worked on the restoration and rehabilitation of historic stone and masonry buildings, particularly churches and monasteries.

At NIKU, Elise works with documentation and surveying of existing buildings, as well as monitoring the impact and consequences of climate change on the built environment.
