Monica Fridén-Rolstadaas works for NIKU in Trondheim.
She has a Bachelor in archaeology from NTNU, with one year studying osteology in Gotland, Sweden. Monica has also a Master’s degree in archaeology – specialising in osteoarchaeology – from Stockholm University.
Monica started working for NIKU in 2016 on the excavations at Trondheim’s Market Square, and now works as Assistant Field Supervisor with responsibility for the osteoarchaeological material on the excavations in Søndre gate.
Her interests within archaeology include genus and queer-theory interpretations of grave finds and osteology.
