Conservation

Our 18 conservators examine, restore, conduct research and provide professional advice on conservation of art and historic buildings.

Private and public owners of sculptures, paintings and interior decoration and objects benefit from NIKU’s unique combination of advanced conservation expertise, established methodology, and application of new technology. This applies to treatment and damage repair.

In addition to examining and recommending specific measures aimed at preservation, NIKU documents craft and painting techniques that have been used, assesses damages, and recommends measures to prevent damage or disintegration of historical objects.
